EXECUTIVE OFFICERS

Tim England

Chief Executive Officer

Dr. England (B.Sc., M.Sc., Ph.D, P. Geol.) has over 30 years of experience in petroleum exploration specializing in basin analysis and new venture development, with exploration successes in the Arctic, Gulf of Mexico, Trinidad, Colombia, Peru and the North Sea. Dr. England’s early career with Union Oil, Imperial Oil, and BP in North America, led to progressively senior international exploration management roles at Talisman where he completed his tenure as VP Exploration Norway. At Talisman he led the Global New Venture team and was a driving force behind the design of the renewed international exploration strategy for the company which was rolled out in 2008, a key component of which was growth in SE Asia, particularly in Vietnam, Indonesia and PNG. Since 2009 he has been working primarily on projects in Indonesia, China, and Mongolia. Having worked with many pure exploration teams on projects spanning six continents, as well as with integrated E&P teams in Aberdeen, Stavanger, and Houston, Dr. England has a deep understanding of what it takes to be successful in the international environment.

Gord Begg

Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Begg (B.Sc., P.Eng.) has worked as a Petroleum Engineering professional for more than 25 years. He has held roles in nearly all areas of the upstream oil & gas business giving him a wide technical engineering and commercial skillset. He has led teams that range from engineering, geoscience and commercial specialists to offshore platform operations and maintenance personnel. Prior to joining Bukit, he held progressively higher positions with the ERCB, Phillips Petroleum and Talisman Energy and has worked in Canada, Indonesia, the United Kingdom and Norway. Throughout his career, Mr. Begg has managed a number of successful oil and gas developments in both offshore and onshore environments, including numerous horizontal well drilling, well stimulation and waterflood projects. Mr. Begg currently resides in Indonesia, where he has worked for more than eight years in total.

Dean Callaway

Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Callaway has 25 years experience in the energy sector. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant and holds an MBA from Nijenrode University in the Netherlands and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Dalhousie University in Canada. Previously he was the Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”) of Gallic Energy Ltd., a TSXV company with international oil and gas operations in France and Australia. Gallic was acquired by Petromanas Energy in 2013. Prior to Gallic Energy, Mr. Callaway was the CFO of TG World Energy Corp, a TSXV company with international oil and gas operations in Alaska, the Philippines and Niger, Africa. TG World Energy was acquired by TVI Pacific in 2011. Prior to this, Mr. Callaway was the CFO of Thailand Resource & Exploration International a private international oil and gas company. Mr. Callaway also worked with Enbridge Inc.  and TransAlta Corp. in the international corporate finance groups and with Merrill Lynch in investment banking.

Eamon Hurley

Executive VP Finance and General Counsel

Eamon Hurley (LLB, Law Society of Alberta) has been involved in the energy business for the last 15 years as both a legal and financial advisor.  For almost 8 years Eamon was the general counsel for Northrock Resources/Taqa North and Unocal Canada and during such tenure was corporate secretary for Unocal Thailand and Unocal Indonesia.  Eamon was a founder, director and officer of Black Gold Energy, a private Indonesian exploration company that was formed in April 2006 and sold in December 2009 to Niko Resources.  Eamon’s experience also includes having been a managing director of an independent investment dealer in their energy group.  As an advisor, Eamon has been involved with over $26B of domestic and international M&A work, over $500mm of A&D transactions and approximately $2B of credit facilitation.  Eamon currently serves on the investment committee of a Canadian based energy focused, private equity fund.
